I got you and you got me...
George Milton and Lennie Small, the main characters of Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, are total opposites, yet they share a strong bond. What message do you think Steinbeck is conveying through these polar opposites and their friendship and dream? From chapter one, what part/line/passage really helped you to see this message? (The deadline to post a response to this question is midnight, Wednesday, April 2, 2014.)
Even though that they are completely different Steinbeck shows that they still have a strong friendship and are there for each other. One part of Chapter 1 that shows that they are there for each other is that George gives up all his opportunities to take care of Lennie.
George and Lennie are almost completely different from on another. When George gets mad with Lennie, I do not think George is really serious about what he says because of the friendship they have.
