Which way do I go?

Imagine that you are Guy Montag in Fahrenheit 451.  At the end of Part Two, Captain Beatty drives you in the orange salamander to your own house.  What are you [Montag] thinking when your realize it is your home that is to be burned?  What do you do?  Why?   (The deadline to post a response to this blog is midnight, January 22, 2014.)

I would first probably have a mental breakdown. I would think it is all over and that my house is going up in flames just because I have gotten a little curious what was in the books. Also, I would be wondering who turned me in. Well, I knew what I was doing could end up like this, so I would just have to pay the consequences. I guess I would not help burn it down. I probably going to lose my job know anyway, and or pay for what I have done besides the house burning down.

I would probably be delusional. I would probably try to plead and convince them not to burn my house and I would go as far to bribe them. I wouldn't want to burn my house and destroy a necessity of living that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I would be very enraged at the fact that everything I pretty much own and put tons of money into was about to be burnt up in flames. I would try my hardest to convince them not to burn it even though I had saw it coming. I think there is no reason books should be 'illegal' anyhow. This is from a different point of view though.

If I was montag I would do anything I could to convince them not to burn down my house. I would be upset and shocked when I realize it was actually my house. I would make sure my wife was ok and try to blame it on someone else so they wouldn't burn it down.

If I was Montag I would be shocked that we pulled up at my house. I wouldn't let them burn my house. I would try to explain to them that there is nothing wrong with books.

If i was Montag, and i realized that my life, everything i worked for was about to be burned down, i would do everything in my power to stop them. I would try to convince them that i was not trying to do wrong and books are not as terrible as Beatty thinks they are. I would put up a fight.
