From the Master

You have read two excerpts from Franklin's Autobiography, which is considered to the be masterpiece of the Colonial Literature period. From your readings, why do you think this is considered so important?  What is something you learned through Franklin's words about people and life? It represents his struggles through his younger days and shows that the world is not perfect. Life is not something you can just leave it is a challenge that you have to face and deal with .

Through his writings, he shows the virtues we need to achieve moral perfection and become a better person. It also shows the struggle most people have, that is not having an easy life and good conditions, but it does not stop them from having a successful life. He also shows things we need to know and realize to our own lives.

I learned that he had a hard life trying to get a job but he was a very intelligent man. He was also very generous at an extent. I did learn that no matter what though you should give up and keep trying to succeed.

He had a hard life as a young man and but was a smart person for his time period. He worked hard for what he wanted and thought that every one should strive to achieve there goals.
