Dreams, dreams, dreams
As we are covering A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, we see the dreams of each member of the Younger family. Select one of the characters and discuss his/her dream and explain if you think this dream can come true and if it would help the family and how this dream affects this character's life.(The deadline to post a response to this blog is Sunday, May 20, 2012.)
Every character in the play has his/her own dream. The dream that I have found most interesting is Walter's dream. He wants to be his own man and own a business. Having this dream and no one listening or believing in it is causing him to explode inside. He even says he is a volcano. He wants this dream not just for himself but for his family and I appreciate that he is thinking of others.
