Dreams, dreams, dreams

As we are covering A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, we see the dreams of each member of the Younger family.  Select one of the characters and discuss his/her dream and explain if you think this dream can come true and if it would help the family and how this dream affects this character's life.  (The deadline to post a response to this blog is Sunday, May 20, 2012.)

Every character in the play has his/her own dream. The dream that I have found most interesting is Walter's dream. He wants to be his own man and own a business. Having this dream and no one listening or believing in it is causing him to explode inside. He even says he is a volcano. He wants this dream not just for himself but for his family and I appreciate that he is thinking of others.
