A Mini World

The ranch can be called a microcosm, which is a miniature world. There are all types of people in a world and on this ranch. Select one character from the novel and explain what type of person he/she represents in the world. Explain how/why this character adds interest to the ranch-world. (This post closes at midnight on August 23rd)

Slim is one of those people everyone can look up to. He is a hard worker and shows respect especially eith those "God-like" eyes. There always needs to be a protagonist in the story and I believe Slim is in this novel. He stands up and puts a mature input on the subjects discussed at the ranch.

Lennie is a person who is mentally challenged, and is very soft on the inside. Lennie is a hard worker on the ranch. He is very strong and he plays a huge role as being a good friend to George. Of Mice and Men is by far my most favorite book!

Curley is the protagonist in the novel. He represents the person who thinks he is better than everyone else. Because he is a little guy, he picks on the big guys and expects to get away with it. He adds interest to the ranch because of the conflict he brings.
