Could I have a moment of your time...

I would like the opportunity to speak to John Proctor because I believe he is the most multifaceted character in this play. Some questions I would ask him are as follows:
What possessed you to sleep with Abigail?
Do you really love your wife?
What do you think church should be like?
I would then like to tell Mr. Proctor that his self-torment over his lechery should be short-lived and he should move on with his life. It is impossible to achieve perfection, yet it is still vital that people continue to strive for perfection even after they make a huge mistake. Perhaps it is even more important then to do so. He should go to Abigail and apologize for any way he has ever wronged her and that she should move on. He should then dot he same with his wife. After he forgives himself, then he can finally lead a productive life. A merciful God would give him a second chance and the rest of Proctor's life should be that of one aiming to do good in the world, not one of anger over past mistakes.
If there was one character in the Crucible I could speak with for two minutes it would be Danforth. I would like to point out how absurb his beliefs are and if he stopped to think about it there was no real proof showing any of the accused to be guilty of witchcraft. I believe he is the character that is in need of the most adjustment that is why I would choose to speak with Judge Danforth.
If I had the opportunity to speak with one of the characters from The Crucible for two minutes, then I would speak to Mary. I would tell her to stop listening to Abigail and stand up for herself; especially because I know how it feels to have someone constantly telling me what to do and trying to determine how I act. I would tell Mary that standing up for herself and for other people is one of the most important things a person can do. If a person believes something, but does not stand up for themselves, it does not mean anything. I believe that actions define a person's character, not just what they say they believe; and Mary reminds me of myself in the way that she folds under the pressure of what her friends want her to do because she is afraid of what the consequences might be.
If I could talk to one character out of the story it would be Abigail. I would like to know why she decided to accuse all of these people. I would also like to know why she was so obsessed about Mr. Proctor. Why was she in love with him? Was she really in love with him? Why did she not want someone available to her? Did she really think that if she kills Mr. Proctor's wife that he will still marry her? These are just a few of the many questions that I have for Abigail.
If I could speak to one character in The Crucible, I would speak with Mary Warren. Mary is a very naive, self contained women who follows what others around her are doing. The reason why I would speak with Mary is because I feel as if she should not follow others including all the girls and even Mr. Proctor. Mary should become a leader and follow what she believes is right. I believe that the only way an individual can succeed in life is having his or her own opinion. Standing up for what you believe in, even if it is right or wrong, is the up-most reason to receive respect from someone.
If I had the chance to talk to a character from The Cruicble for two minutes, I would talk to Reverend Hale. I would tell him that he should not have ran out of the court when things were not going his way. He should have stayed and tried to help Proctor prevent the girls from lying. I would also tell him that I admire him for changing his views when he learned the truth, and did not just agree with everyone else.
If I had the opportunity to speak to one character, it would be Elizabeth Proctor. I would tell her that she should not be so bitter toward John because of his affair. He did make a mistake, and he apologized. Also, I would tell her that in court, she should not have lied for John. The truth is always best, and he ruined his name to save her. I admire Elizabeth for pushing John to tell Hale about the girls dancing in the woods. She knew the truth and spoke up.
If I could talk to one of the characters from The Crucible for two minutes, I would talk to Giles Corey. I would tell him how funny he his. Also, I would speak abouthow funny it was when he called Thomas Putnam a fart. Finally, I would explain how much I respect him for not teling the name of the man that told Giles about Thomas Putnam's motives.
If I could speak to anyone in The Crucible, I would talk to Parris. I would tell him that he should stop caring about his reputation so much and tell the truth because it is not worth losing all of those good people just for a reputation. I would also tell him that he should listen to what the congregation has to say because he is keeping good people, like John Proctor, from church.

If i had the opportunity to speak to any character, I would ask to talk to Elizabeth. I would ask her if she still loved John. Then, I would tell her that I admire her for her strong standards and not just completely letting go of what her husband did to her. I would let her know that her need for the best and desire to be loved properly is admirable and I think that she is sweet for staying with him through it all.
I would like to talk to Tituba. I would ask, out of curiosity, why she let the girls believe in witchcraft; but tell her that I am sorry everything seemed to turn against her because of the dancing in woods and Abigail. I would also tell her that these witch trials weren't started mainly by her but branched out to many people.I am sure she was just playing with the girls in the forest but the girls all turned on her along with many other women.
